Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress Review
Top Features of the Silk & Snow Hybrid in Canada
This review focuses on the S&S Hybrid Mattress available in Canada. Our research team feels the best features are:
- Local materials, including 100% Canadian steel coils
- Superior support & motion transfer from pocketed spring coils
- CertiPUR-US® certified foams for environment & health

A Hybrid Mattress in a Box
A hybrid mattress combines more than one style of mattress. Silk & Snow combines both memory foam and pocketed coils in its Canadian hybrid mattress.
For many people, the hybrid type is the best of both worlds. It can provide the comfort of an all-foam mattress and the support of a traditional innerspring model.
The S&S Hybrid also is a mattress in a box. As its name suggests, the mattress ships to you in a box, much like any other item ordered online. The manufacturer compresses it to fit within the box for delivery.
The mattress in a box is a popular choice for its convenience and affordability. Often, it is less expensive than a similar mattress that you would find in a physical store because the company has fewer overhead costs. Plus, the mattress arrives at your home via regular shipping, which saves the company money, and they pass these savings onto consumers.
There is also no sales commission as you buy online directly from the manufacturer. Lastly, the mattress conveniently arrives at your doorstep. Simply take the box to the bedroom, remove the mattress, and roll it out to regain its original shape within a short time.
Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress Review: Six-Layer Construction
The mattress is 12 inches high and has six layers. Understanding the S&S Hybrid Mattress construction can help you gain insights into whether it is the right choice for you.
The cover is made of a combination of polyester and spandex. This cover is antimicrobial, which inhibits the growth of bacteria.
The second layer features premium quilted foam for a cooler sleep surface, as well as a plush feel. Below is a 2-inch layer of highly dense memory foam designed for terrific pressure relief.
Next is the zoned lumbar support layer. As its name suggests, this layer supports the lower back to help remove pressure on it to alleviate pain.
Beneath that layer is the pocket coil base, composed of as many as 1200 pocketed spring coils. The number of coils in the mattress varies by size (Queen is 1,000 coils, for example).
The coils are double-tempered for extra durability. They provide support and reduce motion transfer, which we will discuss more later in the review.
The final layer of the Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress supports the layers above it. It has an extra firm perimeter to prevent rounding at the sides when sitting on the edge of the mattress.

Pros and Any Drawbacks of the Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress
There are many great qualities about the Canadian version of the S&S Hybrid, and a few minor limitations. Getting a clear picture of the main features is helpful for deciding if this mattress suits your sleep needs.
Great Edge Support
Multiple web reviewers point out that this hybrid mattress has firm edge support. That is good news for anyone who dislikes rolling edges on their mattress.
If you want to put on or take off your slippers or socks by sitting on the edge of the bed, great edge support is something to look for in a mattress. Often couples like it too because firm edges give them a larger sleep surface.
Excellent Motion Isolation
If your partner tends to toss and turn at night, a mattress with low motion transfer is usually a good choice. That is because this feature can prevent you from waking up on your side of the bed.
The S&S Hybrid Mattress is an example as it absorbs motion, so you won’t feel it on your side, even if they change positions throughout the night. Having superior motion isolation makes this Canadian mattress a terrific choice for many couples.
A big reason for its great motion isolation is the pocketed coils, which can be up to 1200 in number (King size). The coils in the layer independently react to motion so that you can sleep through the night even with a restless partner in the same bed.
Plus, the coils help give the mattress a bit of bounce. That makes it easier to change positions with your partner and can make moving around while being intimate easier.
Innovative Cover
The cover is antibacterial, which means it prevents the accumulation of most bacteria and germs. That is great for those who want a healthier sleep surface.
However, the cover does not unzip from the rest of the mattress. Thus, you must spot clean it rather than putting it into the washing machine if there is a stain or spill. With that said, we like the luxurious feel of the quilted foam cover.
Zoned Support
The S&S Hybrid has zoned support. The unique layer provides a firmer feeling beneath the hips and is softer underneath the shoulders and legs.
This special support layer helps to maintain proper spinal alignment. It supports the body in ways that are conducive to many sleep positions and body types.
Unfortunately, if you are looking for a super soft mattress, the S&S Hybrid is probably not for you. The feel you like in a mattress comes down to personal preference.
Locally Sourced Materials
We like that the Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress is made in Canada for Canadians. While there is also a US version, this model is specifically for Canada, and that makes it special.
It also features materials sourced locally. The foams are all produced by a Canadian manufacturer, and the fabrics are too. As for the steel coils, they are made of 100 percent Canadian steel and forged in small batches by Toronto-based coil manufacturers.
For anyone who wants to support local, the S&S Hybrid is one to consider seriously. You can also feel good that it is sustainably made with CertiPUR-US® certified foams.
Eco-Friendly Foams
All foams in the Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress in Canada are CertiPUR-US® Certified. Thus, they meet rigorous standards for content, durability, and emissions. That is great news for anyone wanting to make an eco-friendlier buying decision, and those with certain health concerns.
As this foam is low in VOCs (volatile organic compounds), the mattress has minimal off-gassing, as per many web reviewers. Still, you may notice a faint odour after unboxing and unrolling the mattress in a box. This faint smell typically dissipates within a short time. Rolling out the mattress in a well-ventilated bedroom can help reduce the discomfort for those with smell sensitivities.
Reasonable Price
Our research team agrees that the S&S Hybrid is affordable, especially for a luxury mattress containing high-density foams, lumbar support, and more. As it is a mattress in a box offered by the manufacturer, there is no middleman or sales commission, which helps keep the price low.
There are sales online from time to time too, which further reduces the price. A financing plan is also available for those who want to go this route rather than making one total payment upfront.
Sleep Cool
A 1-inch layer of cooling gel foam helps to keep sleepers cool. If you regularly wake up sweating in the middle of the night, this feature a useful. Staying cool can help you sleep through to morning, rather than overheating and waking up in the middle of a REM cycle.
Plus, a 2-inch layer of gel memory foam in the Canadian-made mattress provides airflow through the mattress. That material can prevent sleeping hot. The same layer also provides great pressure point relief for some people.

Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress: Sleep Trial, Shipping, and Warranty
Learning about mattress policies gives you insights into what to expect from the product.
Shipping
Silk & Snow provides free shipping of the Hybrid Mattress to all provinces. In Canadian territories, there is a small shipping fee.
The mattress ships directly to your home in a box. Then, simply take the box to the bedroom of choice and unbox it, then unroll it to decompress over a short span of time.
Sleep Trial
A 100-night sleep trial comes with this mattress in Canada. If you try out the mattress for at least 30 nights and decide it is not a good fit for you, you can return it for a full refund to Silk & Snow within 100 nights. This policy makes for what the manufacturer calls a risk-free trial period.
Trying out the mattress for several months at home helps you get a good feel for it, as opposed to a few minutes of resting on the surface in a physical showroom. We like that a sleep trial comes with the mattress.
Warranty
A 15-year limited warranty comes with the S&S Hybrid Mattress. We encourage you to read the policy in full as there are specific conditions, limitations, and exclusions,.
Please keep in mind that Silk & Snow can change their policies at any time. We are not responsible if any discrepancies arise between this review and the company’s policies.
What about Firmness?
The S&S Hybrid Mattress is medium-firm, as per several web reviewers. The top layer has a cloud-like feel that provides contouring and softness for the body.
A medium-firm mattress is one of the most popular choices and is often the preference of stomach and back sleepers. This firmness level provides support for the body as well as comfort in these specific sleep positions.
Side sleepers may also enjoy the Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress as it has zoned lumbar support. This feature gives the mattress extra support, with the coils being softer under the shoulders, which can help support the body in a side sleeping position.
The mattress can also provide enough support for stomach sleepers, explain some online reviewers. It may have enough firmness to prevent the hips from sinking, which is uncomfortable.
As for combination sleepers, they rotate between the stomach, back, and side positions throughout the night. The mattress provides the support needed for a range of sleep positions for many people.
The S&S Hybrid rates as a 6 on the mattress firmness scale for many reviewers. The scale goes from 1-10, with 1 being the softest feel and 10 being the firmest.
The coil support system of the mattress provides firmness, while the memory foam offers plush comfort for some sleepers.
S&S Hybrid Mattress Review of Sizes
The most popular sizes in Canada are available. The Silk & Snow Hybrid comes in the following sizes, the number of pocket coils for each one is:
- California King – 1,204 coils
- King – 1,200 coils
- Queen – 1,000 coils
- Double – 800 coils
- Twin XL – 621 coils
- Twin – 600 coils
As per Silk & Snow’s Canadian website, the Hybrid Mattress is made to work with any kind of bed frame. Thus, it is usable with a slatted base, box spring, flat platform bed, or adjustable bed.
Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress Review: Concluding Thoughts
The mattress made in Canada is sourced from local materials. While the S&S Hybrid is a luxury mattress, it is affordable and well-constructed.
Although the cover is not removable to machine wash, you can spot clean it, and the cover’s softness is wonderful, in our opinion. This mattress has excellent motion isolation for couples, may help those who sleep hot, and comes with a 100-night sleep trial. With many positive features, the Silk & Snow Hybrid Mattress is one of our top picks.
Endy Mattress Canada Review
Top Features
After carefully researching the Endy mattress, we believe that it offers the following top features:
- Breathable foam top layer
- Responsive foam transition layer
- Durable high-density foam support layer
- Machine-washable cover (top half)
- 100-Night Trial

Construction
At 10 inches thick, the Endy mattress has breathable foam layers designed to keep you comfortable and cool. Read on to learn more construction details.
Breathable Foam Top Layer
To prevent heat retention, Endy uses open-cell foam in its top mattress layer. Unlike traditional memory foam, open-cell foam is breathable and promotes air flow. It has the same consistency at every temperature and in every season and won’t retain body heat. Endy’s open-cell foam contours to your body as it provides support and pressure relief.
Responsive Foam Transition Layer
The transition layer is made of responsive foam that supports as it cushions your body. As you change position, the foam springs back and adapts to your new position without leaving gaps between your body and the mattress. That means you’ll have support and pressure relief where you need it throughout the night.
High-Density Foam Support Layer
Next is a high-density foam support layer for durability. The high-density foam ensures long-lasting support and helps prevent sagging. The Endy mattress is designed to provide consistent support from edge to edge.
Washable Cover
To keep the mattress looking clean and fresh, you can remove and wash the micro-quilted cover. The top half of the cover is machine washable, but should be air-dried to avoid shrinking. You should also wash it separately to prevent colour transfer or pilling. You can spot clean the bottom half of the cover with mild detergent and water.

Firmness
With a medium firm feel, the Endy mattress provides a balance of comfort and support. The responsive foam cushions your body without letting you sink too deep into the mattress. The contouring and support provide pressure relief for your neck, shoulders and hips while keeping your spine properly aligned.
Sizes
You can find the Endy mattress in a size that is right for your home and sleep needs. Available sizes are
- Twin — 75” L x 39” W x 10”
- Twin XL — 80” L x 39” W x 10” H
- Full — 75” L x 54” W x 10” H
- Queen — 80” L x 60” W x 10” H
- King — 80” L x 76” W x 10” H
- California King — 84” L x 72” W x 10” H
Works With Box Spring or Slatted Foundation
The Endy mattress works best with a box spring or slatted base. The foam layers need the support and breathability that a box spring or slats provide. To ensure adequate support, the slats should be no more than 3 inches apart. A slatted foundation also has more “give” and will create a softer feel.
Endy Mattress Review: Pros and Any Limitations
We’ve done the work for you and have researched and reviewed the Endy mattress. In our opinion, it offers the following benefits and minor limitations.
Keep Cool and Comfortable
The Endy mattress lets you enjoy the comfort of memory foam without waking up hot and sweaty. Thanks to open-air cell technology, the breathable foam stays soft and responsive in any temperature. It draws heat away from your body, helping you stay cool and comfy all night. Plus, you’ll enjoy the contouring, support and pressure relief you expect from memory foam.
Limits Motion Transfer
Couples have another reason to love the Endy’s open-cell foam. The open-air cells act as tiny shock absorbers to prevent motion transfer. That means that you won’t disturb your partner when you get out of bed in the middle of the night. If your partner has a restless night, you can still get a good night’s sleep.
Shipped in a Box
Endy ships your mattress in a box directly to your door. You don’t have to deal with scheduling a delivery time or waiting around for a delivery truck. Narrow hallways or stairwells are no problem thanks to the compact shape of the box, which measures 18” L x 44” W x 18” H.
Waiting for Decompression and Aeration
The mattress is compressed and rolled to fit inside the box. According to the Endy website, you’ll be able to use the mattress within 5 minutes. However, some mattresses can take up to several hours to decompress, so you’ll want to allow some extra time. The mattress may also have an unpleasant odor after unboxing; you may need to let the Endy air out up to 24 hours before using it.

100-Night Trial
A new mattress is a major purchase, so you want to be sure it’s right for you. It can take weeks for your body to adjust to a new mattress. That’s why the Endy mattress comes with a risk-free 100-night trial. That’s more than 3 months to literally “sleep on it”.
You may decide that Endy is not a good fit for your sleep needs. In that case, simply contact the company and they will arrange a pickup and full refund. Whenever possible, they will even donate the mattress to a local charity.
Warranty
You can have peace of mind about your mattress purchase, thanks to the 10-year limited warranty. Endy offers a one-time repair or replacement for covered manufacturer defects. Examples of covered defects include
- Defects causing impressions deeper than 1 inch
- Split or cracked foam despite normal use
- Defects in the mattress cover zipper
Of course, warranty terms can change. Before you buy the Endy mattress, it’s a good idea to check the latest warranty details.
Made in Canada
Canadians can feel proud when buying the Canadian-made Endy mattress. Endy designed the mattress with Canadians in mind and uses materials produced in Canada. The result? Streamlined and efficient production, no border distribution issues and a product that you can feel proud of.
Vegan and Environmentally-Friendly
Another reason to feel good about buying the Endy mattress: it’s vegan and environmentally friendly. No animals are used or harmed in the manufacturing or testing of the Endy mattress.
The mattress is certified by Certi-PUR-US, which means that it does not contain harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, phthalates or flame retardants. It is also GREENGUARD Gold certified. That means that it has extremely low harmful pollutants or chemical emissions. It’s nice to know that a mattress is environmentally-friendly before bringing it into your home.
Monthly Payments Available
Endy has partnered with PayBright to offer a monthly payment plan for your mattress. You can apply by selecting “PayBright” at checkout and get a decision in minutes. Subject to credit check and approval, the payment plan can make buying the Endy mattress easier on your budget.
Endy Mattress Review: What We Think
The Endy mattress provides a balance of support, comfort and temperature control. The breathable open-cell foam prevents heat retention so you won’t “sleep hot.” It has the same contouring consistency during every season. Along with the responsive transition foam layer, it provides support, cushioning and pressure relief. An added benefit is the removable, washable micro-quilted cover.
For couples, the open-cell foam limits motion transfer. That’s a plus when you’re having a restless night and don’t want to disturb your partner. Like tiny shock absorbers, the open-air cells let your partner sleep, even as you toss and turn. Another benefit for couples is the medium-firm feel of the Endy mattress. If you and your partner have different sleep preferences, this mattress is no-too-soft and not-too-firm.
The Endy mattress will work with most box springs or slatted foundations. If you prefer a mattress that’s not too firm, a slatted foundation will help create a softer feel to this medium-firm mattress.
Endy ships your mattress in a compact box directly to your door. You can even fit the box through narrow hallways and tight corners. You don’t have to miss work or rearrange your day to wait for a delivery team. You’ll find your mattress in a box waiting at your door when you get home.
After you unbox your Endy mattress, you may have to air it out to get rid of the slight odour or “off-gassing.” It can take up to 24 hours for the odour to dissipate, which can be inconvenient while you’re waiting to sleep on your mattress.
The 100-night sleep trial takes some of the pressure off choosing a mattress. The no-risk trial gives you time to adjust to your new mattress. If you decide not to keep the Endy mattress, the company will schedule a pickup and give you a refund. If possible, they will donate the mattress to a local charity.
You can feel good about your Endy purchase for several reasons. The environmentally-friendly Endy mattress is vegan, and it’s made in Canada from Canadian materials. The company backs the mattress with a 10-year limited warranty.

High Resiliency Extra (HRX) Foam Layer
The fourth layer is made of High Resiliency Extra (HRX) foam, which prevents sag by distributing weight over 100 points and 5 cutout areas. Designed to last for years, HRX stabilizes the mattress and takes pressure off your body. This layer is effective for motion isolation as well as firmness, and helps keep your spine aligned as you sleep.
Reinforced Edge
Finally, the bottom layer has a reinforced edge that prevents the entire mattress from sagging. It helps extend the life of the mattress by reducing sagging in the middle or on one side of the mattress.
Sizes
The ideal mattress size depends on a number of factors, such as
- Size of your bedroom.
- How much you move around when asleep.
- Do you sleep alone or with a partner?
- Do you like to stretch out when you’re in bed?
The Canadian Emma Original mattress is 10 inches thick and available in a full range of sizes:

Emma Original Mattress Canada Review: Pros and Any Drawbacks
We believe that the Canadian Emma Original mattress has many positive qualities and some minor drawbacks. Read on to find out the pros and any drawbacks to help you make an informed decision.
Stays Cool and Dry
No one wants to wake up sweaty in the middle of the night, so the breathable memory foam is a great advantage to this mattress. The top layer draws moisture away from your body and allows air circulation so that you stay cool and dry. The second layer adds to your comfort by drawing heat away from your body and your bed.
Washable Cover
Convenience is a plus, especially when it comes to cleaning your mattress. The removable, washable cover makes it easy to remove stains before they set in and keep your mattress fresh and inviting.
Motion Isolation and Support
When you share a bed with your partner, it’s important for both of you to be able to move without waking each other. You want to be able to change position or get up in the middle of the night without disturbing your partner. The HRX and Halo memory foam layers provide motion isolation throughout the night. The Emma Original mattress helps you both get a comfortable, uninterrupted sleep.
Edge Support
If you or your partner are active sleepers, you may want a mattress with sturdy edge support to prevent falling off the bed. Or maybe you need a little support when you sit up to get out of bed in the morning. The bottom layer of the Emma Original mattress has a reinforced edge to help keep the mattress in shape from one end to the other. The support makes an even surface that is great for sex as well as sleep comfort.
365-Night Trial
With so many features to consider, it can take a while to decide if a mattress is going to work for you. It can take at least 3 weeks to get used to a new mattress. In Canada, you can try the Emma Original mattress in your home for 365 nights and return it for free if you decide it’s not what you want. For most updated details, read about the 365-night trial on the company website.
Works with a Variety of Bases
We all have our favorite type of bed, and the Emma Original mattress will work on just about any mattress base. Whether it’s a slat frame, box spring or just on the floor, you can use the mattress on the clean, dry, flat surface of your choice.

Affordable
A new mattress can be a substantial purchase. It helps when the company avoids unnecessary expenses such as fancy stores and showrooms. Since the Emma Original mattress is ordered online and delivered direct from the factory, you’re not paying for extra frills. The result is a relatively affordable price for your new mattress.
Free Delivery
Waiting for furniture delivery from a store showroom can be a hassle. When you order your Emma Original mattress online in Canada, it will be shipped to your door free of charge by parcel delivery service. It arrives rolled up in vacuum sealed plastic in a 17 x 17 x 44 inch box. Read about the most updated shipping and return information on the Emma mattress Canada website.
Off-Gassing and Decompression
Your Emma Original mattress will not be ready for use immediately after you open the box. You’ll have to take the mattress out of the box a few hours before you plan to use it. The mattress will be compressed and the foam in the mattress will give off a smell when it is exposed to the air.
Place the mattress in a well-ventilated room so that it can decompress and undergo “off-gassing.” This “off-gassing” lasts a few hours and can be inconvenient while you wait for it to dissipate. Once the mattress has decompressed and finished off-gassing, it’s ready to use.
10-Year Warranty
One of the important considerations when choosing a mattress is the warranty. When making a decision, it helps to know whether a company stands by their product. The Emma Original mattress comes with a 10-year warranty on the durability and dimensional stability of the mattress core.
This warranty does not last as long as the warranties of some other companies, but it does offer some protection from product defects. Visit the Emma Canadian website for specific, up-to-date details about the mattress warranty.
Concluding Thoughts on the Emma Original Mattress
The 5-layer Emma Original mattress is an affordable option that provides support, cushioning and temperature control. It is designed to take pressure off 3 important areas: back, shoulders and hips. The memory foam lets you sink comfortably into the mattress as it promotes air circulation. The motion isolation feature is great for couples, and the edge support prevents sagging and provides support. Plus, the removable, moisture-wicking cover is conveniently machine washable.
The mattress is more afford than some others, due to its free shipping direct from the factory. You only pay for the mattress itself, not a high-end showroom.
It does have some limitations, particularly the off-gassing which dissipates after a few hours. The 10-year warranty is not as generous as other warranties. Overall, however, it is our opinion that the Emma Original mattress is a quality product and a good value for Canadians.
Puffy Mattress Review
Puffy Lux Mattress: What are the Best Features?
The standout qualities are:
- Generous 101-night sleep trial to try out the mattress at home
- Lifetime warranty protection provides great peace of mind
- Designed for all sleep positions, giving comfort and spinal support
- Six-layer system cools, contours, and supports back pain
A Memory Foam Mattress in a Box
One of the first things to know is that the Canadian Puffy Lux is a memory foam mattress. That is the “type,” as opposed to innerspring, hybrid, or another option.

Memory Foam
A memory foam mattress is popular with many people. A big reason is that it typically contains support foam that softens to the body and moulds to your shape to provide a hug-like feel. This comfortable and relaxing feeling can lull you to sleep.
A drawback of traditional memory foam mattresses is that some sleepers overheat. That can happen if the foam traps in body heat, which can make staying asleep difficult. However, Puffy overcomes this limitation by using its unique Cooling Cloud™ material.
As its name suggests, the Cooling Cloud™ keeps your body at an optimal temperature for a comfortable sleep experience. The material is designed to be both breathable and cooling, which can help you get to sleep and stay asleep.
Mattress in a Box
The Lux made in Canada is also a mattress in a box. That means that the mattress is compressed and put into a box to ship to your home like other items you might buy online. This unique way of shipping a mattress is convenient as you can easily slide the box into your bedroom of choice rather than trying to move a cumbersome mattress.
Simply unbox and unroll the mattress in the bedroom. It will decompress within a short time, regaining the original shape.
Choosing a mattress in a box can also save you money. Often, mattresses online are more affordable than at physical stores because the company does not have as many operating costs. For instance, there is not a showroom to rent, which can be expensive. There also is no sales commission as you buy directly from the manufacturer.
Puffy Lux Mattress Construction
The Lux is proudly Canadian-made. We like that is designed and manufactured in Canada. Supporting local is important. So, you can feel good about helping the economy with this decision.
The 12-inch mattress has 6 layers. The layers combine for superior support. As per its website, Puffy designed the Lux to provide a cooling, contouring experience that also supports those who experience back pain.
Patented Cloud Cover
The top of the mattress features a stain-resistant cloud cover, patented by Puffy. We love that when Puffy didn’t see a cover on the market that met its needs, the company went ahead and created its own. That shows their commitment to helping elevate the sleep experience.
The cover is great because it easily unzips to wash it. Not every mattress has this feature. It is handy when you want to remove dirt, dust, and germs from the cover. Over time, those things can accumulate, so it’s good to regularly put the cover in the washing machine.
Plus, the cover is high-quality. It is Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Certified. Thus, the cover meets rigorous standards for a higher level of safety from chemical substances. Knowing that you are sleeping in a healthier, safer environment is a good feeling.
Cooling Cloud™ Foam
As explained earlier in this review, the Canadian mattress features special foam. The second layer is Cooling Cloud™ foam.
It is designed to overcome a major limitation of memory foam mattresses of the past. That is, it has cooling foam that helps prevent sleepers from overheating during the night.
By regulating body temperature, the special foam layer helps you sleep through the night, rather than waking up sweating. A long sleep can help you feel more rested and alert the next day.
Two More Foam Layers
Puffy’s proprietary Dual Cloud Foam is another layer of the mattress. It provides even more contouring, which is terrific for both support and comfort. The foam helps to provide uniform support across the entire mattress.
The mattress also incorporates another quality foam layer. The special Climate Comfort™ Foam is breathable, which adds to the ability of the mattress to help cool the body while sleeping.
This Climate Comfort™ Foam layer enhances the refreshing comfort of the Lux. Puffy designed the foam to manage temperature fluctuations with ease.
Two Base Layers
The firm core support base layer is another specialty feature. The firm polyfoam support base is designed to adapt to your body’s unique shape and reduce pressure. The layer helps to keep the spine aligned, which can combat backaches.
Finally, the grip base cover sits on the bed frame and won’t slip to either side. That’s great news if you’ve ever had the frustration of your old mattress sliding in the past.

Pros and any Drawbacks of Canada’s Puffy Lux Mattress
The Canadian version of the Puffy Lux has a lot of benefits to offer many sleepers. As with anything else, there are some potential limitations. Let’s start with how Puffy has designed the Lux Mattress to be suitable for all sleep types.
All sleep positions
Often, we will tell you that a mattress is best for side, back, or stomach sleepers. However, the Lux excels in this area as Puffy has designed it to suite all three sleep styles. It is also one to consider if you are a combination sleeper, which means you alternate between sleeping on your side, back, and stomach throughout the night.
Thus, this mattress will appeal to many different people. It will also be one to consider for couples who have different sleep styles who both want a comfortable memory foam mattress.
Firm Yet Soft
The Canadian-made mattress is a medium firmness. Online reviewers rate it as 5-6 on the firmness scale. This scale spans 1-10, with 1 being the softest and 10 is the firmest.
As web reviewers explain well, the Lux is firm yet soft, making it the best of both worlds. It has the support many sleepers want and need for spinal alignment, which takes pressure off sensitive areas, including the back, to potentially reduce pain.
Along with providing plenty of support, the Lux also offers plush cushioning. This combination can provide quality sleep.
A big reason these results are possible is the body-adapting Dual Cloud Foam exclusive to Lux and the Cooling Cloud™ Foam. Of course, not everyone will have the same experience on the mattress as each body is unique.
About Off-Gassing
A limitation of many mattress in a box models is that they have off-gassing. The mattress is compressed to fit into a box for easy shipping and setup at home. Then, when unboxing it, the typical mattress in a box decompresses and releases chemical compounds into the air while regaining its shape. However, Puffy’s Canadian site explains that their mattresses are chemical-free.
That means there is little to no off-gassing. We appreciate this as the odour can otherwise bother those with scent sensitivities. Plus a chemical-free mattress is better for the environment.
Hypoallergenic
The cover for the Canadian Lux Mattress is hypoallergenic. It is designed to curtail allergy triggers and combat dust and dust mites in the mattress. For those who have sensitivities, this feature is especially important. It also is one to look for if the mattress is for seniors or kids, who are vulnerable groups.
Price
The Puffy Lux is at the higher end of the mattress price range, so unfortunately, it will not fit every budget. There are payment options available, though, to make it more affordable, and online sales at Puffy’s Canadian website happen from time to time. Plus, Puffy covers the shipping to your front door, which saves you money.
We consider the Lux to be a great value for the price as it includes proprietary materials designed to contour and cool the body. Plus, the specialty foams offer support for the spine to keep it aligned, which reduces stress on the body. That can help to ease or prevent back pain.
Warranty
The Puffy Lux made in Canada comes with a lifetime warranty. This lifetime policy is not one you will find everywhere.
Having coverage for as long as you own the mattress provides great peace of mind. As per the Puffy Canada site, the company will replace the mattress for free if there are defects in materials and workmanship.
As there are terms and exclusions, we recommend you read the warranty fully to understand what it entails. Please note that Puffy can change any of its policies, and we are not responsible for any discrepancies in this review after publishing it if that happens.
Sleep Trial
A 101-night sleep trial is included with the Lux Mattress. This length of time provides you with the ability to try out the mattress to see if it meets your sleep needs. If you are not fully satisfied, return it easily to Puffy for a full refund within the 101-night period. Puffy even picks up the mattress for free so you’re not out any shipping costs.
We appreciate this long trial period. Having several months to test out the mattress at home is superior to spending a brief time in a physical showroom deciding it the mattress will be a good fit. The sleep trial makes the purchase one without risk and provides you with the assurance that Puffy stands behind the product quality.
Motion Isolation
Several online reviewers agree that this mattress performs well for motion isolation. That means that the Puffy Lux Mattress absorbs your partner’s motion so that you are more likely to sleep through the night rather than being woken up by movement.

Conclusion of the Puffy Lux Mattress Review
The Lux Mattress made in Canada is a premium memory foam mattress with a lot to offer side, back, and stomach sleepers. While it will not fit every household budget, it is a great value, in our opinion.
If you like the balanced feel of foam and want deep pressure relief, as well as cooling comfort, this mattress might be right for you. With many sizes available, the mattress can accommodate couples as well as solo sleepers. Plus, it is chemical-free, hypoallergenic, and includes both a lifetime warranty and a 101-night sleep trial. The Canadian Puffy Lux Mattress is one that we strongly recommend.
Douglas Mattress Review
Top Features of the Douglas Mattress
The Douglas Mattress by GoodMorning.com has many great qualities. The best features, in our opinion, are:
- Eco-friendly mattress made with local, sustainable materials
- Three layers of top-quality foam for excellent pressure point relief
- Just enough bounce for ease of movement at night
- Gel foam and special cover absorb heat for a cooler sleep

This is an all-foam mattress. It is also a mattress in a box, which means that the manufacturer compresses it to ship conveniently in a box to your door. Upon receiving the Douglas model, move the box to your chosen bedroom before unboxing and unrolling it to regain its original shape.
Exclusively for Canadians and an Award-Winner
The Douglas Mattress is available only in Canada. In other words, it is available exclusively to Canadians, which makes it special. The mattress ships across provinces and territories.
Rather than being the local version of a popular mattress also available in the US, the Douglas Mattress is only in Canada. We like that it is made for locals.
Not only that but a Canadian company also makes it. The GoodMorning.com team began offering their first mattress in 2009, so they are not a fly-by-night organization.
The Douglas model is an example of the high-quality products the company provides as this mattress is an award-winner.
Douglas Mattress Construction
The memory foam mattress is 10 inches thick and has three layers. At the top is the Douglas CoolSense® cover, which features Tencel® fibres and a beautiful design inspired by the mountain ranges on Canada’s West Coast. The cover is specially made to whisk away moisture, as we discuss later in this Douglas Mattress review.
Below it is a 2-inch gel foam layer. The high-density ecoLight® layer is very durable and responsive, and made with a lower carbon imprint. It is a comfort layer that is designed to dissipate heat rather than trapping it.
The next comfort layer is made of natural latex foam. The 2-inch Elastex® foam is supportive and responsive, without the chemicals that often are in natural latex mattresses.
Finally, the 6-inch support core is composed of conventional polyfoam. It is designed to mimic the effects of numerous pocket-coil springs by providing a sturdy base for the mattress with excellent motion isolation and great edge support.
Douglas Mattress Review: Pros and Any Limitations
Let’s look at what our research team likes the most about this all-foam mattress from GoodMorning.com and any minor room for improvement. As always, we bring you balanced reviews to provide a clear picture of what to expect.
Eco-Conscious
Looking at the materials in the Douglas Mattress from GoodMorning.com, you will notice that the eco-friendly focus. The cover, for example, is made of Tencel®, which is a sustainable fabric. The fibres come from eucalyptus trees, and the closed-loop production process creates almost no waste.
As for the ecoLight® memory foam layer, it is deliverable with less fuels and has all the responsiveness and durability and high-density foam, as per testing, as noted on the Douglas website. It is made with as much as 40 percent less carbon input.
Also, the premium Elastex® foam is eco-friendly. It has no harmful, allergy-causing chemicals found in many natural latex mattresses. If you or someone else in your household has sensitivities, this feature is especially important.
Finally, the materials are all sourced from Canadian suppliers. Every mattress is made in Ontario and Quebec.
Pressure Point Relief
The Douglas Mattress is known for its three quality foam layers. The two comfort layers and a support base are all made of premium foams. We like that there are two proprietary foams (ecoLight® and Elastex®) as that tells us right away that the mattress is unique and premium.
When taken together, the foam layers provide comfort and support for the best of both worlds for some sleepers. There is excellent pressure point relief, and many web reviewers agree with this statement.
For instance, the ecoLight® gel-infused foam provides superior contouring that aids in relieving pressure to sensitive parts of the body, such as the hips and shoulders. Plus, it supports the proper alignment of the spine, which can reduce the amount of stress put on the lower back.
That can be welcome news to those who are tired of back pain. Of course, these results are not guaranteed as everyone’s body shape is unique, among other factors.
Off-Gassing
This has some off-gassing, as per many online reviewers. The odour is minimal, explain those who unbox the mattress, and usually dissipates within one to two days after unrolling it.
While this slight smell can be off-putting, it is normal for all-foam mattresses and often accompanies a mattress in a box. If you are sensitive to it, staying away from the mattress for a few days is probably a good idea. Ventilating the room can also be helpful.
Affordable
The Douglas Mattress is a great price, in our opinion. It includes proprietary materials and has a thoughtful construction, all while staying budget-friendly.
A big reason that GoodMorning.com can keep the mattress affordable is that it is a mattress in a box. There is no sales commission, unlike if you buy from a physical store. Plus, the company does not have fees like renting a storefront. The company passes on its savings to you as the consumer.
Plus, shipping is free (except for some remote locations), which is another money-saver. Returns are free too.
There are also financing options available. Some people prefer to go that route rather than paying all at one time upfront.
Sleep Cooler
Some sleepers overheat on all-foam mattresses, but the Douglas Mattress overcomes this challenge with its special cooling properties.
Firstly, the CoolSense® cover draws moisture away from the body rather than trapping it below you during the night. That helps keep the sleep surface cool, so you are more likely to get a refreshing sleep experience.
Secondly, the gel-infused foam layer is designed to slow down the collection of heat while sleeping on the mattress. This ecoLight® foam is highly breathable and does not retain heat.
Good Bounce
The Douglas Mattress has an excellent memory effect, thanks to its three-layer construction. That means that it has just enough bounce for ease of movement throughout the night.
Being able to move well is good for those who do not like the sinking feeling that can accompany other all-foam mattresses. The Douglas Mattress does not have a quicksand feeling. Also, being able to move freely helps couples while being intimate.
A good bounce is the result of the thoughtful Elastex® transition layer. It provides gentle spring as well as support.

Douglas Mattress Review of Sizes and Firmness
This memory foam mattress is a medium firmness. Many reviewers rate it online as a 6 out of 10 on the firmness scale. For this scale, 1 is very soft, and 10 is hard.
With a medium firmness, the Douglas Mattress has plushness and support. It is neither overly soft nor overly firm. Thus, you can expect to feel like you are sleeping on the mattress rather than sinking in it.
As for sizes, there are many available. They are:
- California King
- King
- Queen
- Double
- Twin XL
- Twin
Having many size choices makes it easier for you to find the one that fits your bedroom size and personal preferences. The price increases with the size, but it still stays affordable, in our eyes.
More Important Information about the Douglas Mattress
There are a few more things to know about this GoodMorning.com mattress. Below are details about the sleep trial, warranty, and more.
Sleep Positions
The Douglas Mattress is designed for all sleep positions. That means it will appeal to stomach, side, back, and combination sleepers.
It is plush yet supportive, as explained in the previous section. The mattress supports the spine’s alignment for side sleepers and provides pressure point relief for those who sleep on the stomach. Back sleepers may also benefit from the balanced support.
Motion Isolation
Many online reviewers describe this mattress as having superior motion isolation. This means that if your partner tosses and turns during the night, it is not likely to affect your side of the mattress.
Does the Douglas mattress sound like a good fit for you? See what else buyers have to say.
See Buyer Reviews
The Douglas design absorbs motion so that you can sleep through the night with a restless partner. Thus, good motion isolation is a feature that many couples look for in a mattress.
Sleep Trial
A 120-night sleep trial comes with the Douglas Mattress. The policy enables you to try out the mattress at home, and in the slim chance that it is not right for you return it within 120 nights for a refund.
This trial period makes for a risk-free purchase, as per several web reviewers, so we appreciate it. Plus, you get significant time to test the mattress without having to decide within a half hour at a brick and mortar store.
Warranty
The Douglas Mattress has a 15-year warranty, with specific terms and limitations. Always read through the warranty in full before making a purchase, no matter what the item is, to ensure you understand it. Also, please note that the warranty and any other Douglas Mattress policies can change at any time, and we are not responsible for discrepancies between said policies and this review.
Compatible Bases
Many bases are compatible with the Douglas Mattress, so it will likely appeal to a wide range of people. Whether you choose a solid base or foundation, ensure that you have proper support for the memory foam mattress so that it is less likely to sag over time.
This mattress is compatible with a platform bed frame or an adjustable bed frame (non-medical). Alternatively, it can pair with a box foundation made for memory foam or latex mattresses (or non-flexing boxsprings). A final option is a base with slats 2 inches or wider that are within 3 inches apart, with one centre beam for a larger mattress size.
Douglas Mattress Concluding Thoughts
The all-foam mattress in a box is exclusively available in Canada and sourced from local materials. While it has a slight off-gassing, that disappears within a few days, and we feel the affordable price and benefits are more important.
The Douglas Mattress is designed to provide excellent pressure point relief and a perfect amount of bounce. Plus, its special cover and gel foam absorb heat to help keep sleepers cool throughout the night.
Those who want to reduce their impact on the environment will also appreciate the use of sustainable materials. This mattress in a box also has superb motion isolation for couples. With all of this in mind, we recommend the Douglas Mattress.
Apollo Mattress Review
Apollo is a Hybrid Mattress in a Box
The Apollo is part of the GoodMorning.com mattress collection. The Apollo Mattress sets itself apart from the others available from the brand with its thick memory foam layers, excellent pressure relief, and more.
It is a hybrid mattress, which means it combines multiple styles of mattresses. The Apollo is a “hybrid” of a memory foam mattress and an innerspring as it is made of foam and coils.
Also, it is a mattress in a box. That means it delivers compressed in a box, like many other items, to your doorstep. Using regular shipping saves money rather than the special delivery of traditional mattresses.
Simply take the box to your room of choice before unboxing and unrolling it when it arrives at your front door. The process is easy and convenient.

Best Features of the Apollo Copper Hybrid Mattress
The GoodMorning.com Apollo Mattress has a lot to offer, including these standout features:
- Copper layer for a cooler sleep experience all night
- Micro-coils for breathability and excellent motion isolation
- Includes lengthy 15-year warranty protection
- Superior pressure relief in many sleep positions
- Made in Canada and exclusively available in Canada
Before delving into these features in more detail, let’s talk about mattress construction.
GoodMorning.com Apollo Mattress: Review of its Construction
The 12-inch Apollo Mattress has five quality layers. At the top is the PolarMAX™ Cooling Cover. The premium cover wicks moisture away from the body to help you sleep cooler. It also feels cool when you touch it.
Below the cover are two memory foam layers. The first one is a dense 2-inch thickness. It contains micro-gel beads that help to cool the body, along with antimicrobial copper that also is known for its cooling properties.
Directly below it is the other memory foam layer. While it is also 2 inches thick, it differs as it features 5G open-cell memory foam. The high-performance material provides deep pressure relief, and the open-cell design enables great airflow.
Next is the 1-inch Aeroduct pocketed micro-coils. These coils contour to the body and provide a breezeway for a cool sleep.
Finally, there are two load-bearing base layers with a 7-inch thickness. The highly dense foam enables excellent motion isolation, which we will talk about in more detail later in this Apollo Mattress review.
Unique Copper Layer in the Apollo Mattress
Right away, we noted that the Apollo is special for its copper layer. The infused copper is one of the planet’s most powerful conductors for a cooler sleep experience.
The copper infusion whisks excess body heat away, rather than trapping it under you like some other mattresses. If you tend to sleep hot, the cooling properties will help to combat this uncomfortable feeling. That means you are more likely to sleep through the night without waking up dripping in sweat.
Apollo Mattress Review: Pros and Any Drawbacks
As with our other mattress reviews, this one is balanced. It provides benefits and any limitations, so you have a complete picture of what to expect from it.
Cooling Materials
One of the things we like the most about the GoodMorning.com Apollo Mattress is its ability to cool the sleeper. Sleeping on a bed that regulates the body temperature helps you enjoy a cool sleep when you might otherwise wake up in the middle of the night in a sweat. For those who sleep hot, this feature is an important one in a mattress.
Along with its copper-infused layer, the Apollo has other cooling materials. The PolarMAX™ Cooling Cover, for example, is made of yarns that are refreshingly cold to the touch. The cover whisks moisture from the body, so the sleep surface stays cool.
Furthermore, the layer of micro-coils in the mattress provides excellent breathability. The coils are a central pathway for warm air to move out of the mattress, making you less likely to overheat while sleeping. Being able to sleep through the night rather than waking up in a sweat is a big design benefit.
Contouring Foam
As explained earlier, GoodMorning.com includes two memory foam layers in this mattress. The premium foam has a slow sinking feeling that contours to your body shape.
The body-hugging foam provides a sense of comfort and support at the same time. Many online reviewers positively describe this feeling.
However, if you prefer to sleep on a mattress rather than sink into it, a firmer mattress might be right for you. The Apollo is medium-firm.
If you are a side or back sleeper, the high-density foam is one that you will likely appreciate for its ergonomic support. When foam supports your spinal alignment, you are less likely to experience hip and shoulder pain as a side sleeper.
The hips and shoulders are examples of pressure points. These sensitive areas benefit from support while sleeping, and the Apollo is designed to provide the pressure point relief you might be looking for in a mattress.
The 5G open-cell memory foam, in particular, has a cushioning feel. It cradles the body for enhanced pressure relief. Some web reviewers note, though, that stomach sleepers may find the mattress too soft. Often, stomach sleepers need a firm mattress that aligns the hips with the shoulders to prevent bodily aches.
Finally, the foam is CertiPUR-US® certified. That means it has been tested to meet the high standards for emissions, durability, and content.
Excellent Motion Isolation
If you tend to move around during the night, this movement might wake up your partner and vice versa. You might also wake yourself up.
This disturbance can leave you feeling tired the next day. If this scenario sounds familiar, consider a mattress with great motion isolation, such as the Apollo from GoodMorning.com. Motion isolation refers to reduced motion transfer from one side of the mattress to the other. That means that if your partner moves during the night, you are less likely to feel it on your side of the mattress and wake up.
Many online reviewers talk about how well the Apollo rates for motion isolation. That is because the micro-coils absorb the impact from movement well. So, if you regularly sleep with a partner and don’t want to wake one another up, the Apollo Mattress is one to consider.
Off-Gassing
Some people online notice minimal off-gassing from their Apollo Mattress. Off-gassing refers to the releasing of remnants of the manufacturing process upon unboxing the mattress.
The slight odour typically goes away within a short time. To improve the unboxing process, we suggest ventilating the bedroom, such as opening windows.
Machine-Washable Top Cover
We appreciate that the mattress has machine-washable cover. Easily unzip it to remove and put it into the washing machine. Doing so can help you keep the cover at its best.

What about Firmness?
The GoodMorning.com Apollo Mattress is medium-firm. It is a 6 on the mattress firmness scale, where 1 is super soft, and 10 is very firm.
Being in the middle of the firmness scale means that this mattress can accommodate many sleep styles. It provides support and comfort.
A medium-firm mattress is usually the preference of side sleepers as it keeps the body in alignment. Of course, the firmness you like the best is a personal choice.

What Else to Know about the GoodMorning.com Apollo Mattress
We want to tell you a few more things about the Apollo Mattress, so you know what to expect. Let’s start with edge support.
Edge Support
The Apollo rates highly with web reviewers for its stable support while sitting on the edge of the mattress. If you have a hard time getting in or out of bed, the 3-inch edge support can make these movements easier.
Does the Apollo mattress sound like a good fit for you? See what else buyers have to say.
See Buyer Reviews
Good edge support also means that you get more surface space to lay out on it. If you share the bed with a partner or a pet, you know that it’s good to have more usable surface area to accommodate everyone.
Made in Canada
Apollo is proudly made in Canada. It is also only available within Canada.
If supporting local is important to you, you can feel good about choosing this mattress company. There are many economic benefits of buying things made in your own country.
Price
We consider the Apollo Mattress to be of great value. It has many cooling components and is made of quality materials, all while staying within the mid-range for mattress prices in Canada.
It comes with a long warranty, and shipping is free for most Canadian households. You will also get a 120-night sleep trial to ensure it is right for you or return it for a refund within that time.
Warranty
GoodMorning.com includes a generous warranty with the mattress. It has a 15-year warranty.
Always read the warranty in detail to learn what it includes and any exclusions. We are not responsible for any discrepancies between the mattress policies and this review as GoodMorning.com can change its policies.
Sleep Trial
A 120-night sleep trial also comes with the Apollo Mattress. In the unlikely case that you decide the mattress is not suitable for you, return it for a full refund within that 120-night period.
We appreciate that the company provides sleepers with several months to test the mattress at home. That makes more sense than lying in a mattress for a few minutes in a brick-and-mortar store before deciding if it is a good fit.
GoodMorning.com Apollo Mattress Sizes
Apollo comes in several sizes, so there is likely someone for everyone. The sizes available are:
- Twin
- Twin XL
- Double/Full
- Queen
- King
- California King
Factors to consider when choosing which one to get include whether you sleep solo or as a couple and the size of the bedroom. As the sizes increase, so do the prices, yet they stay affordable, in our opinion.
Concluding the GoodMorning.com Apollo Mattress Review
The Apollo Mattress is a plush copper hybrid mattress that is affordable and available in many sizes. It has many cooling properties, which will appeal to those who tend to sleep hot. While a medium-firm mattress is not right for everyone, many web reviewers praise the Apollo hybrid for its cushioning and support.
For couples, the great motion isolation of this mattress makes it a keeper. It also has quality contouring foam for support and pressure relief that side and back sleepers are sure to appreciate. A long warranty and sleep trial, as well as strong edge support, are other highlights of this Canadian-made mattress. Given the many strengths of the GoodMorning.com Apollo Mattress, we highly recommend it.
Hush Mattress Canada Review
Top Features
After researching and reviewing the Hush mattress, we believe that the following are its top features:
- 3-layer cooling technology
- High-density coil base
- Pillow top with memory foam
- Zoned support
- Antibacterial materials
- 100-night sleep trial
- 10-year warranty

Construction
The Hush mattress is 13 inches thick and is constructed with support and comfort in mind. Here are the details about its construction:
3-Layer Cooling Technology
Hush mattress includes 3 layers of advanced cooling technology to help you stay comfortable all night. It all starts with a top layer of phase-change material and a graphite layer sewn into the pillow top. Both breathable materials draw heat away from your body. Next are tiny gel bubbles in the memory foam layer. These micro visco bubbles trap heat and keep it away from you.
Coil Base
You can’t beat a coil base for support. Hush uses high-density, individually wrapped coils in their mattress. Unlike foam mattresses that can become softer after 2 or 3 years, Hush mattresses are designed to keep their firmness for at least 10 years.
Zoned Support
In the coil base, higher and lighter gage coils are strategically arranged to provide extra support where you need it most. Your torso and back get the greatest level of support from higher gage coils. Lighter gage coils support your shoulders, neck and feet.
Sizes
Whether you sleep alone in a small apartment or share a master bedroom with your spouse, you can find a Hush mattress to fit your home:
- Twin — 38″ x 74.5″ x 13″
- Twin XL — 38″ x 79.5″ x 13″
- Full — 53″ x 74.5″ x 13″
- Queen — 60″ x 79.5″ x 13″
- King — 60″ x 79.5″ x 13″
- California King — 72″ x 83.5″ x 13″
Firmness Level
The Hush mattress has a medium-firm feel. The pillow top contains responsive memory foam that contours to your body’s shape. At the same time, the coil base provides ample, targeted support. This medium-firm mattress feels comfortable for a wide range of sleep positions and firmness preferences.
Mattress in a Box
The Hush mattress may be made of durable, high-density coils, but the company has developed a way to fit it in a box. The mattress is compressed, rolled and shipped in a box to your door. Even when compressed, however, Hush mattresses are quite heavy. You’ll want to use a dolly or have someone help you carry the box to your bedroom..
Hush Mattress Canada Review: Pros and Any Limitations
We have researched and reviewed the Hush mattress and its features. In our opinion, it provides the following benefits as well as minor limitations.
Sleep Cool
What can be more annoying than waking up hot, sweaty and uncomfortable? Thanks to advanced 3-layer cooling technology, don’t have to worry about this happening when you sleep on a Hush mattress. Micro bubbles in the memory foam prevent heat from circulating. The breathable phase-change and graphite materials draw away heat and promote air circulation.
Balanced Comfort and Support
Not too soft and not too firm — that’s how the medium-firm Hush mattress is designed. Your spine gets the support it needs to stay properly aligned throughout the night. After a long day, your neck, shoulders and feet will appreciate the relief from the lighter zone of support. Finally, your body will feel cradled as the contouring pillow top provides pressure relief.
Does the hush mattress sound like a good fit for you? See what else buyers have to say.

Motion Isolation
Pocketed coils — like the coils in the Hush mattress — are ideal for preventing motion transfer. The individually wrapped coils prevent the motion from being transferred across the mattress surface. For couples, zero motion transfer means an undisturbed, sound sleep. If you toss and turn or have to get out of bed, your partner won’t know the difference.
Can Use It Right Away
After you unbox your Hush mattress, it will expand to its full size and be ready to use within one hour. Hush mattresses do not contain toxic glues or foams and do not sit in a warehouse for a long time. Unlike most mattresses in a box, therefore, Hush does not have to air out for days before you can use it. Creases caused by compression, folding and rolling, however, may take longer to disappear.
Naturally Clean and Fresh
Unlike many mattresses, the Hush mattress does not contain heat-trapping, toxic foam or glue. It contains only food-grade soy-based glue and Certi-PUR foam. Both of these products help keep germs, sweat and bacteria away. You can have peace of mind knowing that your mattress is naturally clean and fresh.
100-Night Sleep Trial
Even if the Hush mattress sounds like a winner to you, it helps to know that the company offers a no-risk, 100-night sleep trial. Beginning on the day that the mattress arrives at your door, the company asks that you try it out for at least 30 days — the time it usually takes to break in a new mattress. If it’s been 30 days and you decide you don’t want the mattress, you can return it for a full refund within 100 days of delivery. Just contact Hush and they will arrange a pickup and refund. The mattress will be donated or disposed of responsibly.

Made in Canada
When shopping for a mattress, it’s a plus when you can find a brand that is made right here in Canada. Hush mattresses are made in Calgary, Alberta and Toronto, Ontario. It’s one more reason for Canadians to feel good about buying a Hush mattress.
Payment Options and Rewards Program
A new mattress is a major purchase. Hush makes it a little easier with payment options through Sezzle. You can pay the full price upfront or apply to make four interest-free payments over six weeks. To apply for the payment plan, just select the Sezzle option during checkout.
Hush also sweetens the pot with a loyalty program called Hush Rewards. When you enroll in the program, you earn Hushbucks every time you make a purchase. Hushbucks can then be applied to future purchases.
Warranty
Even quality mattress brands can have the occasional problem. That’s why it’s good to know that the Hush mattress comes with a 10-year manufacturer warranty. The company will work with you to repair any issue caused by a manufacturing defect, such as a spring poking through the surface. If the problem can’t be corrected, they will replace your mattress. Since warranty terms can change, it’s a good idea to check the latest terms before you buy.
Final Thoughts on the Hush Mattress
With its balance of support and cushioning, the Hush mattress provides a comfortable sleep surface. Its pocketed coil base targets support to keep your spine in alignment. The responsive memory foam contours to your shape to relieve pressure and cradle you to sleep.
Advanced cooling technology makes this Canadian-made mattress even more comfortable. From the phase-change and graphite to the micro bubbles, this mattress is designed to keep you cool. The materials draw heat away from your body so that you don’t overheat and wake up sweaty.
Besides support, the individually wrapped coils provide motion isolation — a benefit for couples. If you change position or get out of bed during the night, your partner or spouse will not be disturbed. Motion isolation helps both of you get a restful night’s sleep.
A mattress in a box offers the convenience of shipping to your door. What makes this brand stand out is the lack of odor or “off-gassing” that is typical of decompressing mattresses. With a Hush mattress, the non-toxic foams and glues do not produce an odor, and the coil mattress decompresses within an hour. Unlike most mattresses in a box, the Hush mattress does not have to air out for days, so you can use it right away.
Hush understands that it can take at least 30 days to get used to a new mattress. Their 100-night sleep trial lets you try the mattress at home for more than three months after it arrives at your door. After day 30, you can return it up to day 100 if you are not satisfied with the mattress. The company will arrange a pickup and either donate it or dispose of it responsibly.
The company also offers a 10-year warranty that covers manufacturer defects. Hush will either repair or replace a mattress that has defects caused by the manufacturer.
Finally, Hush offers payment options and a rewards program that are beneficial to customers. You can either pay the full price at checkout or apply for an interest-free payment plan. You can also enroll in Hushbucks, a rewards program that gives you Hushbucks or points with every purchase. Members can then apply their Hushbucks to future purchases.
After researching and reviewing the Hush mattress, we believe that it is a quality product that provides value.
Helix Midnight Luxe Mattress Ranking
Helix Midnight Mattress Review
Hybrid Mattress in a Box
The Midnight Luxe is a hybrid mattress. The word “hybrid” refers to the use of different mattress styles.
Hybrid Type
This mattress is a hybrid because it contains spring coils and foam. Thus, it is not an all-foam mattress, nor is it a traditional innerspring. Some sleepers prefer the hybrid option for providing benefits from the different mattress types, all in one.
A hybrid mattress like the Midnight Luxe that combines layers of foam with a coil layer is likely to suit those who enjoy the hug-like feel of foam and want the perks of springs too. The springs in this luxury mattress provide a softer feel for the shoulders and hips.
For side sleepers, the support on these pressure points may help relieve pain for some people. Of course, every person is different, so there is no guarantee.

Mattress in a Box
Also, Helix designed the Midnight Luxe to be a mattress in a box. The manufacturer compresses the mattress to fit in a box that conveniently ships to your home.
Upon its arrival, unbox, unroll, and unwrap the mattress in the bedroom where you plan to use it. The mattress slowly decompresses over time, returning to its original shape.
Mattresses in a box are popular for many reasons, including their affordability. As they are only available online, the price is often lower than in a physical store. That makes sense as the company does not have to carry as many overhead costs without a brick and mortar location.
Plus, there is no sales commission. The mattress is conveniently available online too and ships right to your doorstep.
Best Features of the Midnight Luxe
After careful consideration, our research team narrowed down the leading aspects of this Helix mattress. The top features are:
- Innovative cooling technology helps those who overheat
- Pressure point relief for hips and shoulders for side sleepers
- Zoned-lumbar support for superior contouring and comfier sleep
The Midnight Luxe is part of the Luxe collection from the company Helix. The luxury mattress has a medium firmness and is designed for back and side sleepers.

Helix designed this mattress with a premium cover and five layers. The pillow top cover adds extra comfort to the mattress, and it is super-breathable, too, with Tencel technology.
As for the interior of the mattress, it begins with a comfort layer, made of memory plus foam. The high-density foam is known for its pressure-relieving properties.
Below that is a support layer. The gel visco material provides cushioning and support for the body. It has a medium IFD (Indentation Force Deflection), which means that it is a medium firmness. We talk more about firmness later in the Helix Midnight Luxe Mattress review.
The third layer is high-end polyfoam. It is a transition layer, which provides ergonomic support and contouring. The IFD is medium, as with the layer above it.
Next is a layer of more than 1,000 support coils. They are designed to cradle the body, providing support to the hips and shoulders, and promoting healthy spinal alignment.
Finally, a foam layer forms the base. Its purpose is to support the entire mattress and keep it sturdy over time. This mattress gets high marks from many online reviewers for its durability.
Midnight Luxe Mattress Review: Pros and Potential Drawbacks
There’s a lot to like about this Luxe mattress, as well as a few small limitations. Providing a balanced review, as always, we provide you with detailed information to make a more informed decision.
Zoned-Lumbar Support
The pocket-coil layer of this mattress provides zoned-lumbar support. The coils layer features over 1,000 support coils.
The special support provides superior contouring. The support zone in the lumbar area offers great support for side sleepers, right where they need it the most.
The zoned-lumbar support technology cradles the body by creating a softer area under your shoulders and more firmness under your hips. The contouring helps you get the proper support in a side sleeping position.
Pressure Point Relief
If you tend to toss and turn throughout the night, it might be that your current mattress is uncomfortable. For side sleepers, the shoulders, parts of the back, and the hips may experience pain if their spine and these other pressure points are not well supported.
Helix designed the Midnight Luxe Mattress specifically to provide pressure point relief by aligning the spine. Keeping the spine in proper alignment can help all sleepers but especially those who experience achy pressure build up or wake up with back soreness.
The multi-layer construction, including top-quality foams, provides great support, as per numerous web reviewers. The gel visco layer features gel infused in memory foam to cradle the body well, while the memory plus foam responds to the body’s shape and position to meet your needs better. Finally, the polyfoam transition layer provides contouring support that dissipates bodily pressure onto the support coils.
Price
As you might expect, this luxury mattress with high-density foam and advanced technology is at the higher end of the mattress price range. Thus, it will not be within every household’s budget.
However, we feel the Helix Midnight Luxe Mattress is still a great value given the premium materials, airflow tech, and zoned contouring. Plus, there are occasional sales online, which reduces the price, and financing options are available.
American Made
This mattress is completely made in the US. Some mattresses made explicitly in Canada using local materials, but this is not one of them, unfortunately.
With that said, we like that the company ships across Canada in addition to the US. Some companies are strictly for Americans, and we appreciate that Helix includes Canadians.
Cooling Technology
The special cover features Tencel temperature regulation. The cover is ultra-breathable to reduce the chances of overheating at night.
This feature is great news for anyone tired of waking up in a sweat in the middle of the night. The cover is also cool to the touch, so it provides a refreshing sleep surface.
Plus, the premium quilted pillow top feels smooth and plush, much like a mattress you would expect to find in a high-end hotel. The Tencel airflow technology, therefore, helps provide both comfort and cooling throughout the night.
100 Night Sleep Trial
A major challenge of buying a mattress from a physical store is that you only get to try out the mattress for a short time before deciding whether it is right for you. However, the Midnight Luxe Mattress comes with a great sleep trial so that you can test it out for 100 nights at home.
In the slight chance that you are unhappy with the mattress, you can return it for a full refund, provided it is within 100 nights. That makes for a risk-free purchase.
Eco-Friendly
The foams in Helix Midnight Luxe are made without any harmful chemicals. The foams are CertiPUR-US® certified, meaning it passes strong standards for content, emissions, and durability.
Those who have sensitivities are likely to appreciate this feature. So are those who want to reduce their environmental footprint with their buying choices.

Firmness and Size Details
On the mattress firmness scale, this mattress is a 4-7.5, as per the Helix website. This range is a medium feel.
On the mattress scale, 1 is extra soft and 10 is very firm. Medium firmness is often what back and side sleepers prefer as the mattress cushions the body’s curves to prevent pain on the pressure points. It also has minimal sinking, which is nice if you don’t like a quicksand feeling.
It may not provide enough support for stomach sleepers, however, as per some web reviewers. The side sleeping position often requires a firmer feel so that the spine does not sink into misalignment, leading to back pain. Some web reviewers also explain that they wish the mattress had more bounce.
As for sizes, there are many choices. We like the variety so that you can get the right one for your bedroom and sleep needs. The sizes available in Canada are:
- Twin
- Twin XL
- Full
- Queen
- King
- California King
As the sizes increase, so too does the price. Our research team agrees that the prices are fair given the premium features in the Helix Midnight Luxe.
More about the Midnight Luxe Mattress
There are other features to know about the hybrid mattress as you consider whether it is a good fit for your home. They are:
Warranty
The Helix Midnight Luxe comes with a 15-year limited warranty in Canada. This warranty protects you against manufacturing defects with certain terms and conditions.
It’s nice to see this promise of protection for an extended time. That tells you that the manufacturer stands behind their product.
We also want you to know that Helix can change its policies at any time. Always check with the company’s website for written policies and ask them questions directly if you don’t find what you’re looking for there. We are not responsible for any discrepancies between company policies and our review.
Off-Gassing
As the foams in the Midnight Luxe are certified by the CertiPUR-US® program, they do not contain toxic chemicals or heavy metals. As a result, there is little to no off-gassing, as per the Helix website.
If you have sensitivities to odour, this feature is likely one you appreciate. It is nice to see a mattress in a box with minimal or no off-gassing as it compresses in the bedroom after the unboxing.
Motion Transfer
The motion isolation properties are terrific, and many web reviewers agree with that statement. When one partner moves during the night, the other person is less likely to feel the subsequent motion transfer.
Thus, this mattress is a great one to consider for couples. Being able to get a full night’s sleep without waking up because your partner on the other side of the mattress is tossing and turning is a great feature.
Edge Support
This Helix mattress rates well for edge support, too, thanks to its support coils. The coil layer provides strong edges in addition to encouraging proper spinal alignment.
Good edge support can help those who have trouble getting into and out of bed, such as seniors. It also provides more surface space, which is nice for couples who want more room to stretch out on the same mattress.
Helix Midnight Luxe Mattress Review Conclusion
The Midnight Luxe is a hybrid mattress in a box with several benefits. While it is not within everyone’s budget, it is a great value for what it has to offer side and back sleepers, in our opinion.
With zoned-lumbar and cooling technologies, the mattress is designed to cradle the body throughout the night, providing deep pressure relief and preventing overheating. The result can be a restful slumber and a refreshed feeling the next day for some people.
The Midnight Luxe is also a great option for couples with excellent motion isolation properties. The included sleep trial and warranty also show the high quality of this mattress. In conclusion, we recommend the Helix Midnight Luxe Mattress.
Novosbed Mattress Ranking
Novosbed Mattress Review
Novosbed Mattress Review
If you are looking for a new mattress, but are unsure which one is right for you, reading reviews like this one can help you narrow down the options. Novosbed by GoodMorning.com is a popular memory foam mattress in a box. While it is also available in the US, the Canadian version of Novosbed is the focus of this review. Find out the best features, pros, any drawbacks, warranty, and other details important to you.
Leading Features of Novosbed
After carefully reviewing Canada’s Novosbed Mattress, our team agrees that its best qualities are:
- Three firmness options & Perfect Firmness Guarantee to get the ideal feel
- Open-cell airflow technology dissipates heat for a cooler sleep
- Longer-lasting mattress with high-density foams & 15-year warranty
- Super soft top cover is conveniently washable for a fresh feeling

What You Need to Know about the Mattress Type
The Canadian version of the Novosbed Mattress is a mattress in a box. It is also a memory foam mattress. Understanding more about the mattress will help you determine if it fits what you’re looking for.
Memory Foam
A memory foam mattress has long been a favourite of many people for its body-hugging comfort. Memory foam softens and molds to your body shape as you lay on it, making it a material that contours and supports the body.
Some people experience fewer aches and pains sleeping on a memory foam because it cradles the body and relieves pressure from sensitive areas, such as the back, neck, and shoulders. Of course, each person is different, so these benefits are not guaranteed.
Mattress in a Box
Novosbed by GoodMorning.com is also a mattress in a box. A major benefit of this brand is that it is easier to ship and conveniently arrives in a box that is more manageable to move to your chosen bedroom than a traditional mattress.
To fit into the box, the manufacturer compresses the mattress. Simply unbox and unroll it in the bedroom after it arrives at your doorstep. Mattresses in a box are also usually affordable because there are fewer overhead costs than a brand that maintains a physical store.
What is Unique about Novosbed: 3 Firmness Options
One of the things we like the most about the Novosbed made in Toronto, Canada is the ability to customize the firmness level. As per Novosbed’s Canadian website, there is a firmness for every sleeper.
The mattress comes in three firmness levels so that it will appeal to a range of sleep styles. Choose from soft, medium, or firm.
Soft is designed for a plush feel and superior contouring without feeling like you are sinking while on the mattress. Typically, those who sleep on their side and back prefer a softer firmness level.
The mattress is also available in medium firmness, which is suitable for any sleep position, as per the Novosbed Canada site. The feel is one of luxurious comfort with support.
The third option is the firmest one. This Novosbed Mattress offers firm support with very little sink. Some back and stomach sleepers may prefer this one.
How is the Canadian Novosbed Mattress Made?
The construction of Novosbed is top-quality, in our opinion. From the premium fabrics to the high-density foam, there is a lot to like about it. There are slight variations in the construction, depending on the firmness level you choose.
Cover
The top layer is the cover is designed to feel super soft as you rest on it. The Tencel® top cover whisks moisture away from the body to help you sleep cooler at night. The cover is the same for each firmness level of the Novosbed Mattress.
Comfort Zone
The next layer is the Novos Comfort Zone. This layer has open-cell airflow technology for a cooler, more comfortable sleep experience. The latest air circulation design disperses heat, provides great cushioning, and better comfort.
The soft Novosbed features gel memory foam, while the medium and firm mattress options have next-generation memory foam instead. Each foam type is designed for high durability so that your mattress is more likely to last longer.
Transition Zone
Below that is the ReCore™ Transition Zone. This transitional layer of memory foam contours the body and provides pressure point relief. The foam is medium in the medium-firm mattress, medium-soft in the soft mattress and firm in the firm mattress. If you are looking for more contouring, the deepest level is in the soft Novosbed. Meanwhile, the lightest contouring is in the firmest mattress option.
The layer also helps with motion isolation, as described later in the Novosbed review. It is also meant to neutralize the dense foam beneath it.
Support Zone
The final layer is the Durabase™ Support Zone. It features premium support foam that distributes your body weight evenly for all-over support.
This bottom layer is important for providing a mattress that is consistent and reliable, night after night. It provides the foundation of the Canadian mattress, and it is identical in the soft, medium, and firm versions of the Novosbed.

Novosbed Mattress Review: Pros and Any Limitations
There are a lot of great qualities about the Novosbed made in Canada, as well as a few minor potential drawbacks. As with our other reviews, this one is balanced so that you can make a more informed decision.
Perfect Firmness Guarantee
If you decide on the soft, medium, or firm mattress and decide after sleeping on it (within a specific time frame) that it is not the right firmness, Novosbed offers you a Perfect Firmness Guarantee. The manufacturer will send a Comfort+ kit, a 2-inch softening or firming layer that integrates within your Novosbed.
This addition offers you the opportunity to get the ideal firmness. It adjusts the firmness easily to the one you want; simply zip on the comfort to your Novosbed.
Pain Relief
This mattress also rates highly among web reviewers for providing relief to pressure points, such as the hips, shoulders, and lower back. Which sleep position you prefer and the firmness you choose will affect how well you enjoy pressure relief. For example, some side sleepers comment online that the medium-firm Novosbed provides excellent relief for their shoulders and hips.
Washable Cover
A great feature of Novosbed is that its Tencel® top cover is machine-washable. Simply remove and wash it, according to the label instructions. While many mattresses do not have a removable cover, this one does, so you can keep that clean mattress feel by regularly washing it. We also like the softness of the stretch-knit cover.
Durability
The highly dense foams in the memory foam mattress are longer-lasting than foams with a lower foam density level. The material is designed to provide softness and support at the same time. That sense of comfort can potentially lull you to sleep at night. Plus, you can hopefully get a longer life out of the mattress.
Moreover, the upholstery siding is high-end furniture-grade material. Thus, it is durable, supportive, and flexible.
Price
While mattresses with denser foams often have a higher price tag attached, that is not the case with Novosbed. The mattress is a great value, in our opinion, especially considering the quality materials and the latest airflow technology in it.
GoodMorning.com keeps Novosbed affordable because there are fewer overhead costs without a physical showroom, and no middleman wants a sales commission. Instead, the company operates online, and you buy directly from it.
Furthermore, shipping is free, which saves you money. Returns are free too.
CertiPUR-US® Certified Foam
The foam in the comfort, transitional, and support layers of the Novosbed Mattress in Canada are CertiPUR-US® Certified. That applies to the soft, medium, and firm mattress.
The certified foam is made without ozone depleters, which means it is a better choice for the environment than mattresses that contain potentially harmful chemicals. The foams meet high standards for content and emissions. So, if you want to reduce your eco-footprint, choosing this mattress is one way to do so.
Motion isolation
Several online reviewers rave about the great motion isolation of the Canadian-made Novosbed. The mattress does not transfer a lot of motion.
This means that if your partner moves during the night, the mattress is not likely to wake you up and disturb your sleep. For couples, this feature is a great one.
Edge Support
The mattress gets mixed reviews online for edge support. While some reviewers find the edges stable, others explain that they feel rounded.
This makes sense as a firmer bed tends to have better edge support, and there are different firmness levels available for this mattress. If you are looking for great edge support, we suggest considering the firm or medium-firm Novosbed rather than the soft version. This feature is good for those who have trouble getting in and out of bed as it provides more stability.
Off-Gassing
As earlier explained, Canada’s Novosbed Mattress is a mattress in a box. This means it is compressed to fit in a box and then unrolled to expand to its original size in your bedroom.
As it fully decompresses, you may notice a slight odour or off-gassing, which is normal for most mattresses in a box. The slight smell usually goes away soon, and ventilating the bedroom is helpful too.
Airflow Technology
Included in the Novosbed soft, medium, and firm mattresses is open-cell airflow foam. This special foam contains billions of air cells that create numerous airflows to remove heat. This advanced tech speaks to the premium materials used.
It also helps make for a cooler mattress. Thus, you are less likely to wake up because of overheating in the middle of the night.
Sizes of Canada’s Novosbed
The Novosbed Mattress comes in several sizes. Choose from:
- California King
- King
- Queen
- Double
- Twin XL
- Twin
Check Sizes Price
The best size for you will depend on how big your bedroom is, whether you sleep whether a partner and other factors. As the size increases, so too does the price, but it stays affordable, in our view.
This mattress is also compatible with different bases, so you get the proper support you want for the mattress to help combat sagginess over time. A non-medical adjustable or platform bed, box foundation made for memory foam mattresses, and slatted base (2-inch or wider slats, 3 inches apart or less) are usable with this mattress.
What Else to Know about Canada’s Novosbed
Eco-Friendly
Earlier in the Novosbed review, we discussed the environmental aspects of CertiPUR-US® Certified. In addition, the manufacturer reduces waste by recycling surplus materials while making the mattress and repurposing it into other products when possible.
Also, the Tencel® textiles used in the mattress cover include sustainable wood-derived fibres. Finally, the mattress is designed to last longer, which means it has a longer lifespan than a short-lived mattress winding up in a landfill.
Sleep Trial
A 120-night sleep trial comes with Novosbed. That means you can try out the bed for several months before deciding whether it is right for you. A full refund is available after 60 days. Regarding the Comfort+ kit already mentioned, you can request it after 30 days.
Testing out the mattress at home is great for anyone who wants more time on the mattress before deciding if it is right for them. Rather than having only a short time in a physical showroom on the mattress, you can sleep many nights on it before deciding if you want it.
Warranty
This mattress comes with a 15-year warranty. That is a generous policy, especially given the high-quality materials and construction of Novosbed. Having an included warranty provides great peace of mind as a consumer.
Please note that Novosbed policies can change at any time. We are not responsible for any discrepancies between this review and the policies over time.

Novosbed Mattress Review Conclusion
The Canadian version of the memory foam Novosbed offers three firmness levels, so you can choose the one that fits your sleep preferences. If you decide that it is not right after getting it home, simply request a Comfort+ kit under the Perfect Firmness Guarantee. Then, receive a soft or firm layer that easily attaches to the mattress to adjust its firmness.
This mattress offers firmness choices for a range of sleep positions and is great for couples with strong motion isolation. While it is not perfect, nothing is. The limitations are few, and we feel the quality materials and construction, and the luxurious feel, comfort, and cooling abilities of this mattress are a great value. It even has a soft, washable cover. For all of these reasons, we recommend Novosbed.
Logan & Cove Mattress Ranking
Logan & Cove Mattress Review
Leading Features of the Logan & Cove Mattress
The Logan & Cove Mattress is part of the GoodMorning.com collection. The top features of this hybrid mattress, in our opinion, are:
- Two unique firmness options (Medium Plush or Luxury Firm)
- Made in Canada and exclusively for Canadians
- Luxury construction without overextending the budget

A Canadian Hybrid Mattress
The Logan & Cove Mattress is a hybrid mattress made for Canadians. We like that it is made in Canada and exclusively for those who live in this amazing country.
While some mattress brands provide local versions of a US-made mattress, this one is unique to Canada. It is designed for Canadians looking for better sleep with a hybrid mattress. The mattress does not ship outside of the country.
Also, Logan & Cove is a hybrid mattress. Rather than being an all-foam or traditional innerspring type, it combines the two. Hence the word “hybrid.”
The design combines luxury spring and memory foam materials. Some people consider hybrids like the Logan & Cove model to be the best of both worlds by combining two or more mattress types into one.
It is also a mattress in a box, which means that the manufacturer compresses it to fit in a box before shipping to your home. As we’ll explain later in this review, the pillow-top mattress is luxurious yet affordable in large part because of it being a mattress in a box.
Logan & Cove Mattress Construction Review
After doing considerable research, our team agrees that this 14-inch mattress is well-constructed. The exact construction varies based on whether you choose the Luxury Firm or Medium Plush mattress. Yes, there are two firmness options!
Both types are constructed with six layers. They differ slightly, as explained below.
Luxury Firm Construction
The top of the Luxury Firm version of the mattress consists of silk-blend pillow-top fill. Below that is a cooling gel foam, which is ¾ inches. The high-density foam offers support and contouring benefits.
Below that Is the ½-inch high-density bio foam. Next is the 1-inch cooling gel memory foam. The high-density bio foam (1 inch) is underneath it.
The second-to-last layer is 2 inches of high-density bio foam. Finally, zonal pocketed coils absorb movement, so you are less likely to feel if your partner moves on their side of the mattress during the night. In other words, it has excellent motion isolation.
Medium Plush Construction
As with the luxury firm version, the Medium Plush mattress has pillow-top cushioning, ¾-inch high-density cooling gel foam beneath it, and a 1-inch cooling gel memory foam layer.
However, the third layer is different. The Medium Plush model has ½-inch medium-density bio foam, rather than the high-density one in the Luxury Firm.
Another difference is the 1-inch bio foam layer. The Medium Plush Logan & Cove Mattress is tri-zone, rather than bio foam.
The bottom two layers are the same in the Medium Plush and Luxury Firm mattresses. The bottom layer of pocketed coils provides terrific motion isolation, as per many web reviews.
Both types also provide balanced cushioning and support. The construction is based on hundreds of research hours, as per the Logan & Cove website.
Which Firmness Level is Right for You?
We like that the Logan & Cove Mattress comes in two firmness options, so you can choose the one that has the feel you want while sleeping. As already explained, the manufacturer calls them Medium Plush and Luxury Firm.
Medium Plush Type
As per many web reviewers, the Medium Plush is the equivalent to medium soft on the mattress firmness scale. This firmness level tends to rate in the 3-5 range on the scale, with 10 as very firm and 1 as ultra-soft.
The pillow-top adds a comfortable top layer to the Medium Plush and Luxury Firm versions of this Canadian mattress. The pillow-top design evenly distributes the sleeper’s weight to help relieve pressure at sensitive areas of the body, such as the back, shoulders, and hips.
With a medium-soft feel, a Medium Plush Logan & Cove Mattress might be your preference if you are a side sleeper wanting both pressure relief and support. When sleeping on your side, the shoulders and hips push into the mattress, so it is helpful to have a surface that cushions them to prevent pain. Plus, the tri-zone foam in the Medium Plush model gives support to multiple joints for proper support.
If you like the feeling of sleeping “in” a mattress, rather than “on” it, you are more likely to prefer the Medium Plush over the Luxury Firm. There is a small amount of sinking into the mattress while on it, which some people find comforting. The one you like the best is a personal preference.
Luxury Firm
As for the Luxury Firm, it is medium firm, according to several online reviews. A medium-firm mattress generally rates as 6 or 7 out of 10 on this scale, with 1 being the softest feel and 10 is the firmest.
Back and combination sleepers often gravitate toward firmer mattresses, so the Luxury Firm might be a good fit. If you are a combination sleeper, that means you rotate between sleeping on your side, stomach, and back throughout the night.
The Luxury Firm features high-density foams designed to provide a great combination of pressure point relief and support. Typically, the higher the density, the firmer the feel of the mattress, so if you prefer a firm sleep surface, the Luxury Firm is likely a better fit than the Medium Plush for you.
On the other hand, if you want a bit more of a plush feel, the accurately-named Medium Plush model of the Logan & Cove Mattress might suit you better. The Luxury Firm is also probably the one you will prefer if you like the feel of sleeping “on” a mattress, rather than “in” it.
We encourage you to think about your preferred sleep position as you mattress shop to find the one that is most likely to provide a great sleep quality regularly. As Logan & Cove provides two firmness options, there is likely to be one that appeals to most people.

Logan & Cove Mattress Review: Pros and Any Limitations
Both the Medium Plush and Luxury Firm versions of the Logan & Cove Mattress share many great qualities. As we always provide balanced reviews, we also explain any potential drawbacks to provide you with a clear idea of what to expect from the mattress.
Sleep Trial and Returns
The Canadian mattress comes with a lengthy 120-night sleep trial. That means that if you are not completely satisfied with the mattress within 120 nights of when it delivers to you, you can return the mattress to Logan & Cove. The company will issue a full refund and even cover the shipping costs if you meet this policy’s requirements.
While some companies do not cover the return shipping costs, Logan & Cove does so. That helps set them apart, showing they care about their customers and give people more confidence when making the purchase.

Cooler Sleep
Many reviewers online comment on the cooling sensation of this mattress. If you tend to sleep hot, this feature is one you will likely appreciate.
The gel layers of the mattress are one way the mattress helps the body maintain a temperature that is conducive to good sleep. Both the Medium Plush and Luxury Firm have a layer of cooling gel foam and cooling gel memory foam. The gel foams help to improve airflow throughout the mattress for a colder sleep surface.
Also, the Tencel® cover with silk-blend fill is a breathable layer. Tencel® absorbs moisture better than linen and cotton, thus making it an excellent material for the mattress sleep surface. Having a dry, soft layer the body rests against is likely to help many people drift into a night of slumber.
Back Support
The mattress includes targeted lumbar support. This feature means that sleepers can enjoy targeted support for the lower back and hips while sleeping. The result can be less pressure in the lower back, easing pain for some sleepers. The zoned support helps to encourage spinal alignment while asleep.
Warranty
Another important point to mention in this Logan & Cove Mattress review is that it comes with a 15-year warranty. This policy protects the mattress against workmanship and material defects, within certain guidelines.
As with the sleep trial, the warranty from Logan & Cove shows their great customer service. The warranty protection also helps you feel more secure in the product quality.
Please note the company has the right to change any of its policies at any time, so we encourage you to always check with them for the latest versions before making a final decision. That way, you always know what to expect. We also are not responsible for any discrepancies between the mattress policies and our review.
Only in Canada
We love that Logan & Cove provides a mattress made in Canada that is exclusively for Canadians. It ships free across to most locations in Canada, although remote and rural areas may have a shipping fee. However, if you live outside of the country, such as the United States, you cannot purchase the luxury mattress.
Firmness Options
As earlier explained, there are two firmness options. The Medium Plush and Luxury Firm choices give you a more personalized mattress. Unfortunately, there is not an option for those who want a really soft mattress. Still, we like that there are medium-soft and medium-firm models for those who want either one.
Off-Gassing
As you unbox and unroll the mattress, you may notice a faint odour emits from the mattress. That slight smell is normal for mattress in a box models as it decompresses and regains the original shape.
The odour, also known as off-gassing, typically is gone within a few days, as per several online reviewers. To help minimize the discomfort, try to ventilate the room well that has the mattress in it.
Price Promise
Logan & Cove’s website explains their Price Promise. They provide the same affordable price for the mattress all year rather than having periodic online sales. As they state on the site, their pricing is transparent, and it is a fair, honest price. Financing is an available option too.
We agree that the price is reasonable, especially given the luxury design and premium materials, including different types of foam, lumbar support, and thoughtful construction. There is a pillow-top design and two firmness options, which you won’t find with every mattress on the market.
Plus, the Logan & Cove Mattress is hand crafted and hand finished. There is great attention to detail. Also, the silk fill of the cover is luxurious.
As for how Logan & Cove keeps the price low 365 days a year, a big reason is that it is a mattress in a box. There is no physical showroom to operate, so the company saves overhead costs, such as rental fees. They also save by using regular shipping for the mattress in a box, rather than more expensive methods of traditional mattresses. The company passes these savings onto consumers.
Plus, there is no middleman. You won’t have to pay sales commission as the manufacturer sells the mattress directly to you as the consumer.
Edge Support
Enjoy engineered support at the edges of this Canadian mattress too. Great edge support is something many couples look for as it extends the sleep surface. There are no rolling edges either, so you can feel secure sitting on the edge to put on or take off your socks and shoes.
Mattress Sizes
The Logan & Cove Mattress comes in many sizes. They are:
- Twin
- Twin XL
- Full
- Queen
- King
- California King
These are all the most popular sizes in Canada. The mattress is also compatible with many different types of bases (sold separately). Choose from adjustable, platform, box foundation, and slatted.
Logan & Cove Mattress Review Conclusion
If you want a luxury hybrid mattress, the Logan & Cove Mattress might be right for you. Choose from two firmness options, depending on whether you prefer medium-soft or medium-firm.
While there is not a really soft mattress option, there are two firmness choices and many sizes. The premium materials and construction, as well as the long sleep trial and 15-year warranty, also speak volumes of the quality of the mattress. All of this comes at a reasonable price, backed by a Price Promise. With so many great reasons to like the mattress that is made in Canada, we recommend the Logan & Cove Mattress.
